How to play Emoji Movie

Emoji Movie is a free daily film guessing game. Each day a single film is described entirely in emojis — no words, no poster, no year — and you have to work out which one it is. Two emojis are shown to begin with, and every wrong guess uncovers another, so the clue gets more generous the longer you take.

  1. 1Read the emojis. They describe the plot, a famous scene, or an object central to the film.
  2. 2Start typing a title — the input suggests matching films as you type.
  3. 3A wrong guess costs you a turn and reveals one more emoji. You get five guesses in total.
  4. 4Solve it and share your result as an emoji grid that shows how many tries you needed without spoiling the answer.
  5. 5Come back tomorrow: a new film goes up every day at 00:00 UTC.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to play?
Yes. Every MovlyHub game is free and needs no payment. You can play without an account by picking a display name; signing in only adds streak tracking and a place on the leaderboard.
How often is there a new puzzle?
A new puzzle is generated every day at 00:00 UTC, and it is the same puzzle for every player that day — so your result is directly comparable with anyone else who played.
Can I keep playing after the daily puzzle?
Yes. Each game has a practice mode with unlimited randomly generated puzzles and selectable difficulty. Practice rounds do not affect your daily streak or leaderboard position.
Who writes the emoji clues?
They are written by hand, one film at a time. Emoji picked automatically from a genre would fit hundreds of films at once — "👻 😱" could be almost any horror movie — so every puzzle in the pool is composed deliberately and ordered so the most revealing emoji comes last.
How does scoring work in Emoji Movie?
You score five points for solving it on the first guess and one point fewer for each additional guess, down to zero if all five are wrong. Your points also feed the combined games leaderboard alongside Poster Puzzle, Cast Connect and Frame Guess.
